Aourly uses a subscription model to provide access to its features. Each company has its own subscription, managed by the company Owner through Stripe’s secure payment platform.

Accessing Subscription Settings

  1. Open the sidebar and navigate to Settings
  2. Click Subscription
Only users with the Owner role can view and manage subscription settings. Coordinators and Performers do not have access to billing information.

Trial Period

When you create a new company, you automatically receive a free trial period with full access to all Aourly features. During the trial:
  • All features are unlocked, including invoicing, bookkeeping, and integrations
  • No credit card is required
  • You can invite team members
  • You can create real clients, gigs, and invoices
The trial gives you time to evaluate Aourly with your actual workflow before committing to a paid plan. A countdown on the subscription page shows how many trial days remain.

Subscription Plans

Aourly offers tiered plans to match different business sizes and needs. Each plan includes a base set of features and a certain number of team member seats.

Billing Cycles

Plans are available in two billing cycles:
  • Monthly — Pay each month with the flexibility to cancel or change anytime
  • Yearly — Pay annually at a discounted rate (typically 10-20% savings compared to monthly)
You can switch between monthly and yearly billing from the subscription page. When switching from monthly to yearly, the change takes effect at your next billing date.

Seat Management

Aourly subscriptions include a concept of seats for team members:
  • Coordinator seats — Each coordinator in your company requires a coordinator seat
  • Performer seats — Each performer requires a performer seat
The base plan includes a set number of seats. If you need more, you can purchase additional seats from the subscription page.

Adding seats

  1. Go to Settings then Subscription
  2. Find the seat management section
  3. Increase the number of coordinator or performer seats as needed
  4. Confirm the change — billing adjusts automatically on a prorated basis

Removing seats

You can reduce seats if team members leave. Seats can only be reduced below the number of active team members if you first remove the corresponding members from the company.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Stripe, a globally trusted payment platform. Aourly never directly stores or handles your credit card information.

Accepted payment methods

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit cards
  • Other methods available through Stripe depending on your region

Updating payment method

  1. Go to Settings then Subscription
  2. Click Manage Payment Method or Update Card
  3. You’ll be taken to a secure Stripe page to update your details

Invoices and receipts

Stripe automatically sends receipts for each payment to the email associated with your account. You can also view and download billing history from the subscription page.

Upgrading Your Plan

To upgrade to a higher-tier plan:
  1. Go to Settings then Subscription
  2. Review the available plans and their features
  3. Click Upgrade on the plan you want
  4. Confirm the change
Upgrades take effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period.

Downgrading Your Plan

To switch to a lower-tier plan:
  1. Go to Settings then Subscription
  2. Select the plan you want to downgrade to
  3. Confirm the change
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you retain access to all features of your current plan. Make sure you’re within the seat limits of the lower plan before downgrading.

Cancelling Your Subscription

To cancel:
  1. Go to Settings then Subscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm the cancellation
After cancellation:
  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • You won’t be charged again
  • After the period ends, access to premium features is restricted
  • Your data is not deleted — all clients, gigs, invoices, and records are preserved
  • You can resubscribe at any time to regain full access

What Happens When a Subscription Lapses

If your subscription expires or payment fails:
  • You can still log in and view your data
  • Creating new invoices and certain management features may be restricted
  • Existing invoices and records remain intact
  • Time tracking may be limited
Aourly sends email reminders before and after a subscription lapses to give you time to resolve the issue.

Failed payments

If a payment fails (e.g., expired card), Stripe automatically retries several times. You’ll receive email notifications about the failure. Update your payment method promptly to avoid service interruption.

Multiple Companies

Each company you own has its own separate subscription. If you operate two companies in Aourly, each requires its own plan and payment. There is no “multi-company” bundle — subscriptions are per company.

Getting Help with Billing

If you have questions about billing, need a refund, or encounter payment issues:
  • Check the subscription page for billing history and status
  • Review Stripe receipts sent to your email
  • Contact Aourly support for assistance with account-specific billing questions
Each company has its own subscription. If you own multiple companies, each needs its own plan.
Start with the free trial to explore all features before committing to a paid plan.
If your subscription lapses, access to certain features may be restricted until you renew. Your data is preserved.
