Your company profile contains the essential business information that identifies your company throughout Aourly. This data appears on invoices, reports, and official documents, so keeping it accurate is important for both legal compliance and professional presentation.

How to Edit Your Company Profile

Step 1: Navigate to Company Profile

Open the sidebar navigation and click Company Profile. This takes you to the profile editing page where you can update all company details.

Step 2: Edit Business Details

Update any of the following fields as needed:

Company Name

Your official business name as registered with Bolagsverket. This name appears on all invoices, the tenant switcher, and exported documents.

Email

Your primary business email address, used for invoice-related communications and as the contact point on invoices.

Phone

Your business phone number. This appears on invoices and serves as a contact point for clients.

Organization Number (Organisationsnummer)

Your Swedish 10-digit business registration number. This is a legal requirement on all invoices in Sweden. Format: XXXXXX-XXXX. For sole proprietorships, this is your personnummer.

VAT Number (Momsnummer)

Your Swedish VAT registration number in the format SEXXXXXXXXXXXX. Only fill this in if your business is registered for VAT with Skatteverket. If you are not VAT-registered, leave this field empty.

Address

Your registered business address including street, postal code, and city. Click the logo upload area to select an image file. This logo appears in the header of generated invoices. Logo guidelines:
  • Format: PNG (preferred, supports transparency), JPEG, or SVG
  • Size: At least 400x400 pixels for clear rendering
  • Background: Transparent PNG works best across different backgrounds
  • Aspect ratio: Square or horizontal logos display best on invoices

Step 4: Set Default Hourly Rate

Update the standard hourly rate used as a starting point when creating new gigs. This is a convenience setting — every gig can have its own rate that overrides this default.

Step 5: Set General Markup Percentage

Configure a default markup applied to expenses when they are included on client invoices. This covers your administrative overhead for handling reimbursable costs. How it works:
  • If you set a 10% markup and add a 1,000 SEK expense to an invoice, the client sees 1,100 SEK
  • The markup can be overridden per client or per gig
  • Set to 0% if you pass through expenses at cost
Common markup percentages in Swedish consulting:
  • 0% — Pass-through at cost
  • 5-10% — Standard administrative overhead
  • 10-20% — Common for materials and subcontractor costs

Step 6: Configure Reporting Frequency

Set how often you want to generate reports and review your business metrics. This helps you stay on top of your financial overview.

Step 7: Save Changes

Click Save to apply your updates. Changes take effect immediately for new invoices and documents. Previously created and sent invoices are not affected.

Who Can Edit the Company Profile

  • Coordinators — Can view the profile; limited editing rights
  • Performers — Cannot access the company profile page

Best Practices

Keep information current

Review your company profile quarterly or whenever your business details change. Outdated information on invoices can cause payment delays or compliance issues. A polished logo on your invoices signals professionalism to clients. Even a simple, clean design makes a difference compared to no logo at all.

Match Skatteverket records

Your organization number, VAT number, and company name in Aourly should exactly match what is registered with Skatteverket. Mismatches can cause problems with VAT reporting and audits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can edit the company profile?

Owners have full access to edit all company profile fields. Coordinators can view the profile but have limited editing rights. Performers cannot access the company profile. PNG with a transparent background is recommended. JPEG and SVG are also supported. Aim for at least 400x400 pixels.

Does changing the hourly rate affect existing gigs?

No. The default hourly rate is only used as a starting point when creating new gigs. Existing gigs keep their configured rates.

What is the general markup percentage for?

The markup percentage is applied to expenses when they are included on invoices. For example, a 10% markup on a 1,000 SEK expense would invoice the client 1,100 SEK.
